Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Shifts Release Date, Avoiding Box Office Battle With Furiosa

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is moving up its release date by two weeks, now arriving on May 10, 2024, from the previous release date of May 24. This change moves the latest addition to the franchise of the Apes away from a head-to-head battle with Mad Max: Fury Road prequel, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. As the first movie in the Apes saga to get an IMAX release, this allows the film two weeks to make its impact before Furiosa rides in to take over.
