  • Realme has launched the X7 series in India.
  • The Realme X7 Pro packs a Dimensity 1000 Plus flagship chipset.
  • The phones start at just Rs 19,999 ($274).

Realme confirmed back in October 2020 that it planned to bring the 5G-toting Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro to India. It’s taken several months, but the phones have finally launched in the market.

The Realme X7 and X7 Pro share a number of features, such as 5G+5G dual SIM support, a 32MP selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Realme X7 Pro is the more premium offering, as you may have guessed though. The device is powered by a Dimensity 1000 Plus processor, which features a powerful octacore CPU, a Mali-G77 MP9 GPU, and AV1 decoding.

Realme’s Pro model also serves up a 6.55-inch 120Hz OLED panel, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery. Once the battery dies, 65W wired charging will bring it back to 100% capacity in 35 minutes.

You’re also getting a quad rear camera setup here, featuring a 64MP main shooter (IMX686), 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro sensor, and 2MP monochrome camera. And the company is touting features like an upgraded Super Nightscape 4.0 mode for low-light snaps, 64MP pro mode, and an Ultra 64MP mode with multi-frame processing.

Meanwhile, the vanilla Realme X7 (seen above) has a mid-range Dimensity 800U processor, a 6.4-inch 60Hz OLED screen, 6GB to 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,310mAh battery.

Oddly enough, the standard phone only supports 50W charging compared to 65W charging in the Chinese variant. But Realme says it only takes 47 minutes to charge the phone anyway. The company is also including a 65W charger in the Realme X7 box. We’ve asked Realme whether the Pro model will include the 65W charger too and will update the article when the firm gets back to us.

Another change from the Chinese variant is the shift to a triple rear camera setup here, featuring a 64MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro sensor. In other words, that 2MP monochrome shooter is gone.

The Realme X7 starts at Rs 19,999 (~$274) for the 6GB/128GB option and Rs 21,999 (~$302) for the 8GB/128GB variant. Meanwhile, the Realme X7 Pro starts at Rs 29,999 (~$411) for the 8GB/128GB model. The standard model will be available via Flipkart from February 12, while the Pro variant goes on sale from February 10.
