  • New details of the rumored Samsung Galaxy F62 has now emerged.
  • The phone is said to sport a 7,000mAh battery with a 6.7-inch display.
  • It’s unclear when the device will make its debut in India.

We first gained word of a forthcoming Samsung phone touting a massive battery late last year. It was rumored then to bear the Galaxy F62 moniker. Now, a detailed specs leak has emerged giving us a better idea of what hardware this phone may include.

Stemming from tipster Ishan Agarwal (via MySmartPrice), the Samsung Galaxy F62’s headline feature will be a 7,000mAh battery. Building on this, the phone is also said to wear a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This is seemingly mated to an Exynos 9825 SoC — the silicon also used by the Galaxy Note 10 series.

In terms of imaging, the Galaxy F62 will reportedly use a 64MP primary snapper in its quad rear array, while a 32MP sensor will pull selfie duties up front. Finally, the phone will launch with Android 11 and One UI 3.0, per the leak.

Samsung first launched its Galaxy F series last year in India in collaboration with Flipkart. Although the line was initially billed to be a camera-centric series for Gen-Z buyers, the Galaxy F62 suggests the firm is readjusting is focusing on longevity and media consumption chops, too.

It’s unclear when Samsung will launch the Galaxy F62, although MySmartPrice believes it to be “soon.” The phone, bearing model number SM-E625F, already has a support page live on Samsung India suggesting that an official debut isn’t too far away.

The Galaxy F62 likely won’t be Samsung’s only mid-range device launch this year. The firm is also reportedly working on a new budget tablet line bearing the Galaxy Tab M62 moniker. Although there’s no indication that these two devices will share specs, we wouldn’t be too surprised if the Tab M62 also sports a massive battery.
